Hello. People in my village call me Toach. I’m a 43-year-old Cambodian mother of four. 3 of my children are at school and 1 is still very young. A year ago I became widowed. I work in the rubber fields, earning income as the sole breadwinner.

Description

Chicken farmer
Female Entrepreneur

I usually get up early in the morning for work. Sometimes I even work at night in the rubber fields so that I can meet the urgent needs of my family. My older kids also help me sometimes after school. I believe that owning a business would be incredibly helpful for my family. I’m trying to research chicken farms and the skills needed, and have decided I would like to own a farm when I am able to access money and a water source.

My business goal is to develop a chicken farming business and eventually build it into a successful micro-enterprise. Through this business I would like to secure a stable income for my family, so that I can improve our quality of food and life, contribute to my children’s education and pay off my loans.
