Vegetable Farmer
Woman Entrepreneur
Hello, my name is Senglim. I’m 21 years and I have two children. I’m a housewife and my husband is a rubber field labourer and occasionally a construction worker when he is hired by people in our community. My husband earns my family’s main income. However, he can only provide about $0.85 for each family member per day. We live in a remote village of the Tbong Khmum province. I would like to start up a vegetable farm and eventually develop it into a successful micro-enterprise.
My goal is to generate enough income so that we can afford to support our daily needs, dig a water pumping well, save to purchase a motor-bike, and improve our overall standard of living.
